Travel for the 2011/2012 Season
Please be aware that the Manitoba Marlins coaching staff is responsible for all team travel for the 2011/2012 season. Our Travel Blog is in the “for parents” section of our website; information outlining our club's travel plans will be posted regularly on the Travel Blog. Information on all swim meets Marlins swimmers will be attending this season is posted under the "Meet Schedule" navigation link on our website.
TEAM TRAVEL: The coaching staff will coordinate travel arrangements for all swimmers and coaches travelling with the team to out of town swim meets when transportation and accommodation are necessary. Please note that rooms reserved under the "Manitoba Marlins" block at Team Travel meets (i.e. Minneapolis and Man/Sask Long Course) are intended for athletes travelling with the team. Families who wish to attend the meet must make their own reservations.
PARENT RESPONSIBLE TRAVEL: To promote team unity and to assist families who are new to the "out of town meet" process, we have secured rooms for the Manitoba Marlins at the Super 8 Motel in Kenora for the KSC Invitational in November and at the Lakeview Inn and Suites in Brandon for the BBSC Invitational in April. Families will be responsible for confirming individual reservations one month prior to the check in dates. Please continue to check the Travel Blog for details on specific meets.
